Reiki – A Natural Way to Live (part 1)

Reiki – is complimentary to all other therapies. That’s not to say that you can’t do Reiki on its own, because you can. In fact there is nothing Reiki can’t do if you are given all the tools to open up the possibilities. There are infinite possibilities when you apply Reiki tools, the only thing stopping it is your imagination. Sky is the limit as they say but we can even go beyond when it comes to Reiki.

With Reiki working on 4 levels all the time Mental, Emotional, Physical and Spiritual enables all these possibilities to come into play as all these levels also have layers.

Reiki is nothing more than Universal Life Force energy in its simple form and wording, but when we really look into what we are really saying here it opens up a whole new thought form. Are we limiting ourselves when we only think on physical terms? Yes Reiki is first and foremost a “Hands on Healing” modality that is working on topping up the life force of a being to enable the body to heal itself. In actual fact the foundations of Reiki teach us the simplistic version of itself.

Breaking down the Japanese word “REI” = the universal limitless aspect of the energy. “KI”= the vital life force energy. So there are two things we can take from this…it is limitless what you can do with energy and it’s saying the life force is vital to everything in existence.

If this is the case then why would we want to add other modalities, why would we not just explore the infinite possibilities Reiki has to offer?  I feel if we need to add other modalities then we truly haven’t tried. Of course, maybe the foundations of Reiki, like first level are limiting in its usage but there are always more levels to learn. Those other levels increase the potential by 1000 fold. (you have to crawl before you can walk)

Reiki is the fastest vibration there is and it comes from the universe – not the earth and not ourselves therefore it’s limitless and non- draining because it is vital life force that we need from the universe: a cosmic wave of energy that we beings need to exist. We can tap into that energy when a Master attunes us to Reiki to activate our systems to constantly channel the energy. A bit like tuning your radio to a great station to hear the best music so too we need to be tuned in.  The question here is…why would you need other modalities if we can tap into infinite wisdom of the cosmos through our body and hands??

When and if we do work with other energies, like crystals for instance sometimes the energy can be conflicting, maybe even slower than what we are used to with Reiki. Crystals after all, are from the earth and there are many many crystals that one would need to heal with as opposed to just using Reiki alone. In saying that one needs to clarify that Reiki is Reiki, it is a constant fast vibrating energy, it is not crystal energy, crystal reiki, massage reiki or any other prefix, it is quite simple.  K.I.S.S (keep it simple sweetie). It is a stand-alone energy and a stand-alone modality that does not discriminate with any other modality, religion, occult or the likes. It can however accelerate any other modality you use it with but no other modality will accelerate Reiki because Reiki is already the fastest vibration.

It is a powerful catalyst for your spiritual growth it is not “A power” nor is it “Powerful”, it is “Empowering” because it by-passes ego, it is “Authentic power” , because it is humbling.

If our attunements are correct and we have had 4 then we will never lose Reiki, we will channel it forever and most of all we never have to turn it off and on, it will be constantly vibrating through us permanently. Reiki has quite the science behind it, and a lot of quantum physics come into play if you really want to have an understanding of this concept. There is a whole world of misunderstood facts waiting out there for us to explore for the mind, body and soul factor.

Treating ourselves with Reiki daily is like meditating once a day for an hour but even better. We are channelling energy through our endocrine system (hormonal system) which is the vital science within our bodies triggering healings on every level, every layer, every cell and every molecule with a balancing act. Our bodies work all day finding its homeostasis. Physically if you’re getting an infection your body swarms with white blood cells to start a healing, finding its homeostasis is finding the balance and the body does whatever it has to do to bring back that homeostasis which is a normal level for that body. Eg, body temp needs to be about 37degrees if it rises it try’s to get cool by sweating if it gets cold it shivers to warm up so the body has coping mechanisms to deliver homeostasis at all times. Reiki comes into play by speeding up that process, topping up life force so the body can work to the best of its ability. In saying that, when ones life force is depleted one tends to attract illness, injury, unwellness, lost feelings,  again out of balance. So as you can see it is the VITAL LIFE FORCE that we so desperately need hence Reiki is all you need.

Not only is there a homeostasis going on in the physical but in the mental, emotional and spiritual as well but the physical plane is what we can see, it gives us more tangible symptoms to understand and explain. The body of course is not just a body and with orthodox medicine primarily diagnosing on a physical plane the other parts of ourselves become disconnected, depleted and not acknowledged. We are though a MIND, BODY AND SOUL. Without nurturing these 3 things in unison the zombie theory is alive. The walking dead as it is stated in the bible.

So again full circle we come with the use of Reiki because it nurtures and integrates mind, body and soul working on mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. Helping one to feel UNLOST, reunited with one self.

The concept of nurturing the soul for westerners is extremely new therefore the “new age” movement if you like is gathering momentum. For Eastern philosophy this is an ancient technique and ‘normal’   to grasp the spiritual aspect this is why we are turning to ancient learning’s because our souls are screaming to get back to our deep soul, god/universe connections. A deep sense of longing for the “Coming Home” feelings. Most students that I have been privy to teach Reiki to, quote that they feel like they’ve come home!

Reiki – A Natural Way to Live (part 2)

 So if we are attuned to Reiki and it is the highest vibration there is, then it has a natural inbuilt protection value. Vibration has a wavelength and the denser the item the slower the vibration which means Reiki can vibrate through anything that is slower than itself but slower vibrations could not penetrate an extremely fast wavelength, hence Reiki protects itself. This is because the energy is coming from the universe, a vast cosmos not from the self where if you circulate your own life force to heal others you most definitely will feel drained. Not unlike, if you lose too much blood you will need a transfusion, without it  you will feel drained, depleted and possibly die. Life force from the cosmos is exactly the same, you need to be topped up at all times. This is where Reiki varies from most modalities. It is like breast feeding via supply and demand, what you need or your client needs will be channelled through you, top up your life force first and then channel as much as the clients body demands without draining you. In fact you should be feeling high as a kite from this energy sometimes euphoric not drained!

You don’t need to remember any materialistic tool, or ask for a prayer of protection from angels or decide which crystal to find/buy/use or have to pack anything into a bag of tricks. Reiki is in your hands always. You can be connected to universal life force energy channelling down through your crown, a never ending source. Along the way you are opening up the mind and spirit for greater things, you’re even balancing left and right hemispheres of the brain. Opening up to infinite possibilities in the brain capacity via Pineal, cerebral cortex and pituitary glands. Imagine the vastness of learning that Reiki could bring if you knew how!

As Reiki is about harmony and balance we can therefore define balancing from left to right, top to bottom, yin yang, male – female, etc. Reiki naturally finds its way into the causal plane of all issues as the body knows exactly what to do with energy and where it should go most, by,  by-passing ego to bring about the best possible outcome for healing. If you require a little more yin or a little more yang you don’t even need to know that you do, you don’t even need to be diagnosed as such because Reiki has a consciousness of its own and knows just what to do and what you personally need hence what it means to by-pass ego. Our ego will fight it and boast what we THINK we need or not need which in the end could misjudge and miss heal the problem all together. A very dangerous place to be indeed. I don’t know about you but I much prefer that Reiki do the work for me as I will get a truer sense of my needs on all levels. No diagnostics needed in fact we as Reiki practitioners not only don’t need diagnosis of any sort for it to work but we aren’t allowed to diagnose unless we have been trained with a diagnostic tool.  So we regard Reiki as nurturing, balancing, harmonizing and relaxing primarily.

We can’t have male without female or yin without yang within our bodies, there is a perfect balance in the universe of opposing forces. Like push/pull or night/day. So Reiki naturally gravitates to balancing these forces. Our neutral zone is the heart, unstruck, no polarity or UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. As the old adage goes “Love will conquer all” . Therefore Reiki is all encompassing,  all embracing of all things. The pivotal point being the heart. If all things are loved not feared then we have neutrality, balance and perfect wellbeing. A total sense of calmness and that all is good in the world could and will exist.

Full circle again, when we apply Reiki it naturally forces out the negative and replaces it with positive. The negative being fears and phobias which is actually the opposing force of Love will actually be revealed for us to release and dealt with adequately. The body’s response to this can in fact, be very mental and emotional when we let go of a fear that we have held onto for so long that we have curbed our life accordingly. Be free of a burden, let it go let it flow!

Reiki is a spiritual concept not a religion, nor an occult. There is no need to worship anything with Reiki, if anything you would probably worship ‘the self’. Like the body is my temple kind of thought pattern. To honour the founder of Reiki is not the same as worshipping. To worship is to have yet again a material attachment to something which in turn creates a fear. A fear of not having the connection to that deity or forgetting to take the tools of trade with you so therefore you can’t perform the act of worshipping. Once you’re attuned to Reiki your connection to source is instant, your guidance from universe is instant whether your meditating, praying or playing basketball the connection is forever there. Whether you’re at home or overseas it’s there! You honouring you is what is important. You listening to your inner guidance is more important, you trusting your instincts is more important.  Sacredicity of Reiki is found within, you honouring this gift of energy makes it sacred. Not divulging all its potential maybe secret but certain amount of secrecy keeps something sacred and undiluted. Using this one modality, becoming adept at this modality keeps the energy and its potential undiluted. The more other ingredients you add to the mix will only enable you to give smaller percentages to each one to make up the whole. The more you use one modality the bigger percentage you will have access to. Just like we could announce 100% freshly squeezed orange juice. When we read that label we know there are no more additives so it’s going to be good, pure and wholesome!!

That’s how I see Reiki….. as good,  wholesome 100% pure organic matter, undiluted, virginal unexplored territory from the universe and I can’t get enough. I want to unlock the secrets of the universe and I want to do that with nothing but pure wholesome goodness of the real deal for myself that we call universal life force energy – Reiki, and I AM!
